bottom line do not take your kids here it is abusive and horrible
I mean,,, it's not awful. But it's not very good either. The main doc, I can't remember his name, he's good and figures out what's up.
It was horrible, i went there in the beginning of 2015 after having a couple of people i knew at my school commit suicide, that and some family problems drove me into a panic attack to where i was put into a hospital and sent here, the staff was rude and i wasnt helped at all, i remember when i was there my glasses had broke and there was a part they could of easily removed but instead they took my glasses away and i couldnt see for a week straight, because my vision was so messed up i was slow with walking and when we would walk in lines sometimes certain members of the staff would push me, when i got there i was explained no rules so i had to go and find out by cause and effect, if i did something wrong and i didnt know it i would get yelled at, at one point i had to lie saying i was gay so i could get a room to myself because during that time most of the people there didnt have normal depression like me, they apparently heard voices and would have the scariest breakdowns at random moments, so at that point i was terrified to sleep with another person in my room, And when i was also there i was told i had to talk and get along with the other girls there most of which were rude and highly crazy, i didnt want to talk or be near them because i was afraid one of them would have a mental breakdown and hurt me, i was later told if i didnt talk to the girls and socialize i would be kept longer, bottom line when i got out of there i was more messed up then before, the facility did not help my problems, all they did was keep me, lock me up, mistreat me and other teens and children who had problems, do not bring your children here, my own mother regrets it seeing how i came out of the place, they mistreat most of the children, the staff doesnt seem very professional or nice, and your child will get 0 privacy even when showering or using the bathroom, i had the staff walk on me and yell at me multiple times when i was using the restroom and last but not least when we went to go do "School" one time the woman gave us a speech pretty much saying how we all were messed up and she said and i quote "You all are lucky you're sitting in here because you could of messed up even more and ended up in the juvenile jail next to here"
This place is a big joke. My granddaughter was in there. No one would talk to you. Took her off her meds for 5 days done nothing to help her. She called home and only for 5 minutes and the workers was hollering its her time up!! Please do not let your loved one go there if you don't have too!!!
It was terrible. They act like everyone there has behavior problems. Do not send someone with mental illnesses there. They told me that I was faking a panic attack and was constantly telling girls to shut the hell up and don't start. Majority of the staff talk to you like your stupid.
They refused to release my daughter, they told me I had to sign a release and then wait another 72 hrs after that, after telling when I signed her in that there would just be the first 72 hr hold. Do not trust this place with your children they lie to you and trick you my daughter is only 7 years old
